Magic Mouse

The Magic Mouse that came with my new iMac keeps giving me 'menus' when I click it. How do I get rid of that. Am operating with Monterey 12.6.5

Please refer to Change Mouse preferences on Mac, and change your "Secondary click" option, or deselect it if you don't want to use it.

M1 iMac Magic Mouse keeps highlighting instead of selecting THIS continues to drive me absolutely crazy. Whenever I left click to just select something the mouse continues to either highlight text or act as a right click at times. I have to continually click the mouse several times to in effect, unlock it from doing this. I have tried all kinds of settings but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Mouse clicking on Monterey OS 12.6 Since updating my iMac to Monterey OS 12.6, mouse clicking is excessively and universally buggy. I get the back and other options, I can't simply open an app or a link in a browser. When I try to type something in a search box I get the emoji option and it takes 4 tries to get rid of it. We're all used to bugs in Apple OS's but this is infernal and almost makes my iMac unusable. I've updated, hoping for a fix, but none so far.

My Mac thinks that my Magic Trackpad is a mouse I've just purchased a trackpad, using a Macbook Air that I bought in 2022. When I connect them, it thinks that it is a mouse and so I can click and move the cursor, but cannot scroll, zoom, etc.

Thanks.....I, at first, did not understand the "Secondary click" option. Duh!!!! Problem solved. from a grateful Senior user...
