My notes are not syncing between Mac and iphone - I have tried every suggestion for every article I could find - checked all setteings dozens of times -

SOLUTION: After hours of trying to fix the issue of my iphone notes not syncing to my Macbook Pro, I finally found the solution. Open Notes on your computer, go to File>Accounts>icloud and sign in through that method. Then restart your computer.
I kept going to system preferences>icloud on my Mac and it still wouldn't work, but when I opened Notes>Account and then got to icloud, success! Hope this helps someone else!
temporarily creating another user on my Mac and signing in with iCloud seems to have fixed the issue. when i opened Reminders and Notes it ran through its setup and then everything started working. i logged back into my admin account, and then that started syncing.
ok i went to notes application on desktop computer. I went to file and within the file drop down there is no "account" option from the drop down
I’m glad you found a solution. It doesn’t work for me though. I only have 1 shared note and do not have any embedded files or images.

I got my notes in the mac with ventura finally, but I cant lock the new ones AND then they doesnt sync with the iPhone!!!!

Now my phone is syncing and the size of the notes app is normal again!
Thank you this worked for me - my Notes on my iPad were being entered in an outlook (?) folder and not iCloud. Moved the notes and it works
This did seem to work for me.
Thanks for this solution. Opened Notes on my computer, went to to Accounts>icloud and turned "sync" notes off, then on again. Then I could see all my missing notes from my iPhone 12.
There’s a good hack! But a lengthy one! Can share through message app, syncing seems impossible with two different IDs. But can only share one note file at a time, which is time consuming.

I moved notes from the folder "On My iPhone" to the folder "iCloud" and immediately my notes synced to the MacBook
this worked for me:
go to settings, iCloud, Apps using iCloud, Show All, scroll down to Notes, select then turn on Sync this iPhone
