A small arrow is attached to the Photos icon on my tool bar.

The Photos icon on my tool bar has a little arrow (lower left) that points at the Photo icon. What does that arrow signify?

Icon in every photo how to remove? I don’t know what it’s called but when you open any photo, there’s a little gray square icon in the lower right corner and a lot of times it’s over top of some thing underneath it. Is there any way to stop it from appearing?
