iPhone 14 Pro Max overheating while charging

My iPhone 14 Pro Max overheating while connected to the charger. I use the original apple 20W usb-c adapter and cable and I've tried using a different charger and it still happens. This never used to happen until a few weeks ago when I updated to iOS. 16.4. And with the release of iOS 16.4.1 I expected the problem to be resolved but it still occurs. It overheats even when I'm not using the phone. It never heats up to the point where a warning pops up but I still feel like it's abnormally heated and I'm worried about its battery. Is this happening to anyone else, or know a fix?
