AirPods stopped charging after updating to version 5E133

both of our AirPods stopped working today at different time. Both of my pods were completely dead in a charged case from the day before, now my case has been plugged in for 4 hrs and it’s at 1%, on of the AirPods is at 9% the other is dead. Tried a different cable and didn’t work.

My husbands case is completely dead with the opposite pod working and 1 dead. They were both perfectly fine yesterday and lasting 3-4 hrs of music.

WTH was in that update???

A. Upload to the Latest Firmware: About Firmware Updates for AirPods - Apple Support

B. Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple probable has received little to no word of this issue.
