fios mobile app not working

Trying to use the Verizon Fios TV Mobile app on my iPad Air. I want to stream live TV inside my home on my Verizon network. I keep getting this error when attempting to watch local channels. Other cable channels seem to be OK.


Unable to communicate with the media server. Please try again later. If the issue persists, please report it from the Help section of the app.

Error code: 33-PLYB_DVR_UI-VMS_1067


This has to be an Apple issue because all our Android devices are able to stream without issue.


I found one other similar post with no fix. Anyone else having the same issue? Is there a fix?

1.) Close the app: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support
2.) Restart your iPad: Restart your iPad - Apple Support
3.) Check for updates. To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPad. Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
4.) Delete and redownload the app: Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support & Redownload apps and games from Apple - Apple Support
