My Apple Watch did not detect a hard fall

I passed out and hit our hardwood floor 2 weeks ago, and my Apple Watch Series 6 did not detect it. I broke a rib and my 2 front teeth and was unconscious for over 15 minutes. I talked with tech support who checked all settings and found nothing wrong. He kept reiterating Apple's disclaimer that the watch "cannot detect all falls". It's the main reason I bought this expensive watch. If it can't detect a fall this hard and the fact I was unconscious, what good is it?! Totally unreliable. I was told my only recourse was to buy the latest Series 7 or 8 because my watch is outside of the return policy. I'd like to return my iPhone 12 Pro Max, my iMac desktop computer, My iPad series 10 and this watch!!

Sorry, but this is user to user only forum. Apple doesn't participate here. As users only, we can't honestly help you. If you want to return your Apple devices, you'll need to work that out with Apple, but I would not expect they'll just take back devices outside the warranty window.

As good as Fall Detection is, there will be instances when the watch may not detect a fall. This can be influenced by how you fell and whether the watch sustained enough force to recognize a fall. Apple disclaimer is clear this is the case with Fall Detection. Perhaps you fell backwards and your watch landed softly, while you clearly did not. I do hope you heal quickly.

You could have fallen backwards, with your face and mouth close enough to the floor to cause the damage to your teeth. To expect anyone to know exactly how you fell is unreasonable. We weren't there. We didn't see it.

And how would anyone know you were being facetious?

I'm not going to respond again as you don't have a question. You just have a gripe. And we can't help you at all with a gripe.

I still offer my best hopes for a speedy recovery. No need to comment back as I won't respond again.
