IOS native web video player

Is anyone else having problems with websites not using the native iOS video player but using their own custom video player? If so is there a fix to it?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

Please start here If Safari isn't loading websites or quits on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

This wasn’t helpful in the slightest. This impacts both safari and chrome and only started once my device updated. So please provide a response to the point in question, no generic signposting to FAQ
