Issue with rear glass iPhone 14 Pro cracking/ smashing easily

I've had my iPhone 14 promax for 31 days when I noticed the glass has cracked around the camera lens. This is my first time replacing it, (looks like the insurance will cover it)

I also have the expensive otter box & screen protector (no camera protector)

There was No dramatic event, no dropping that I recall, I think it's an Apple Defect. I got the 2 hour run-a-round from Verizon (Very Poor Customer service) Before settling on paying the $100. deductible!

I think Apple should cover this!

Hi. Yes, I had the same issue. It smashed within a day of having the phone despite me having an ultra protective case. I took it to an Apple shop and the assistant said that it was accidental damage and I would have to pay £700 to get in fixed! I said that it was not fit for purpose per the UK’s consumer rights legislation and I get said that there lawyers have reviewed the issue and there is nothing Apple has to do. The same issue has also happened to my wife’s same phone and also another guy I know. Apple’s quality is seriously going downhill and the customer service is atrocious. You pay a premium and expect premium service in return.

I had the same issue. This seems to be a common problem with the iPhone 14 Pro. My phone is never outside of the otterbox defender case & the back glass still cracked.
