Microphone not working on FaceTime

Microphone is not working on iPad 7th generation. I have to use Bluetooth for people to hear me on FaceTime

This looks like the best Apple Support page for the issue you're describing. Did you try all of the steps in the Apple Support page?


If it only happens in FaceTime, be sure to try here:

"If the microphone doesn't work in a specific app

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
  2. Make sure that the app is enabled.
  3. If the app has permission to access your microphone, or if it isn't listed, contact the app developer.

If you still don't hear your voice clearly, contact Apple Support."
