Trade in kit

I arranged to trade in my iPhone when I bought my new one. I received it yesterday and I am not sure if it came with the trade in kit....it came with an extra box and a shipping slip but there is no protective sleeve (that all the videos I have watched seem to have) and if I package it the phone slides around and will likely turn on or get damaged.....am i missing something....also no red sealing tape just clear piece.
