Apple Watch does not work

• hi apple i have recently bought a apple watch for my daughter she said she havent liked it at all which i thought she would since i bought 2 series of watches for my self and they were amazing well when i was looking at it turns it aient even work?? i searched this up and trying to figure out and i heard a serial number works the serial number is gj***j6x0

i hope u can help me get a new one if thats possible plz and thank you
