Connecting 2 x Dell U2723QE to a Macbook Pro M2 Max

I have recently bought 2 x Dell UltraSharp 27 4K USB-C Hub Monitor- U2723QE.

I want to connect both monitors to my M2 Max MacBook Pro.

I have just realised that neither of these monitors support Thunderbolt 3.

So my questions are:

1. Is there a way to connect the 2 monitors to my Mabook, and if so how do I do it?

2. If I exchanged one of the monitors for one that is Thunderbolt 3 compatible, could I then connect one of the U2723QE monitors to that one to then have the chance to use the 2 monitors via my Macbook?

3. Do I have to change these monitors for 2 others that support Thunderbolt 3?

Thanks so much for any advice, ideas.

Hello longcha14,

This article provides information on connecting your display to your Mac: Connect a display to your Mac - Apple Support

1. Use your display's power cable to connect the display to power.
2. Use your display's video cable to connect the display to your Mac, such as to a Thunderbolt  or HDMI port. Different ports might look similar, so it's important to identify the port correctly.
3. If the video cable requires a port that your Mac doesn't have, you might be able to use an adapter with the video cable. Or replace the video cable with one that doesn't require an adapter.
4. When your display has power and is connected properly, your Mac detects the display automatically. You should then see your Mac desktop on the display, and you can configure display settings.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities, and have a great day!

Hi, longcha14-nice monitors, btw ! These support usb-c, DisplayPort and hdmi… i think your m2max mac book pro supports DisplayPort ( Alt mode) plus Thunderbolt 3 so no worries there… however it only has 2 ports which is sorta a drag… so use a powered Thunderbolt 3 dock, which should have loads more ports… I wouldn’t be inclined to change ‘em out for 2 monitors that support Thunderbolt 3 ( unless you want to spend the money, that is)
