does my Apple Watch need a SIM card for cellular access

If you own a cellular Apple Watch, it uses eSim technology as their is no physical sim card for Apple Watch. You'd set up cellular service for your watch with the same cellular provider you use for your iPhone, assuming your iPhone provider actually supports Apple Watch.
