I set up my alarm to use a song I downloaded but recently it will default to the standard alarm tone.

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand your alarm is no longer playing the downloaded song and ends up using the original tone instead. We recommend making sure the song is still downloaded and the Apple Music subscription is still active. You may want to temporarily change it to a different song to see if the issue persists. "Change your alarm sound

You can choose the sound you want to wake up to. Pick an ambient sound, or if you have Apple Music, choose a song, playlist, or radio station.

Note: Siri-enabled accessories cannot play media for an alarm and will instead play a tone.

1. In the Home app on your iOS or iPadOS device, touch and hold a HomePod.
2. Tap an alarm, or tap New to create an alarm.
3. Tap Play Media, then tap Choose Media.
4. Navigate to a song, playlist, or radio station, then tap it.
5. To have the song or playlist repeat once it ends, turn on Repeat.
6. To have a playlist play in a random order, turn on Shuffle.
7. To set a custom volume for the alarm, tap Use Custom Volume, then drag the slider.
8. Tap Done.
