I was given an Apple magic keyboard with touch ID and numeric keypad for Christmas. Just getting around to installing it and noticed it says "requires Mac with Apple Silicon" I do not have that operating system, I have Catalina os which I can upgrade to Ventura os. Will this keyboard work with Ventura os?

Apple silicon is not an operating system. It is the CPU hardware in your Mac i.e., Intel or Apple M1, M2 etc). f you go to Apple menu > About this Mac there is information there about your model of Mac.
