Carplay interfering with WiFi

For the last 3 months my iphone 14pro would disconnect or not join my home wifi network. I worked with Apple support with multiple resets on device. Finally they replaced my phone and my wife's. I also had the signal checked by the ISP, changed the cable modem and the router. My wife's new phone had no issue but my new phone continued to have issues, only at home, not at work. I noticed 2 days ago that "New Wi-Fi connections have been turned off from Control Center." This in turn led to Carplay. If I turn off carplay, there is no problem with the connectivity. If it's on and I have recently driven, it will not connect until I enter the password. Car is parked in an attached garage (2023 Honda CR-V). Clearly a software glitch.
