External monitor blurry after upgrading to macOS Ventura

I'm having difficulties configuring my BenQ PD2700U to display 1920x1080 HiDPI properly. It worked perfectly find before updating to Ventura.

I'm using it as an external monitor and it worked natively before upgrading to Ventura this morning. I've stumbled upon BetterDisplay as a solution that other people seem to be finding success with. But I'm having troubles making it work, too.

Has anyone managed to find a solution to make it work?

Hey dotwongdotcom,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. There are some great steps in the following guide that can help with this issue: If your external display is dark or low resolution - Apple Support

Since you mention this happening after upgrading to macOS Ventura, be sure to check for firmware updates for your display. Those steps can be found in the guide above under "Update Software":

Update software

Software can affect display detection, the quality of the image on your display, and the resolutions and refresh rates available to your display.

* Install the latest macOS updates, which also deliver firmware updates for displays made by Apple.
* If your display is not made by Apple, make sure that it's using the latest firmware from the manufacturer. Check your display's documentation or the manufacturer's website for details.

Let us know how it goes.

Take care!
