You would have to change the age on the ID signed into the device.

In the interest of full disclosure:
Alternatively you would have to sign in on his device to download the app under your ID and then sign out again. But beware this can have undesirable side effects and you would really have to know what you were doing or it would make a mess of both of your accounts.
