Mute symbol on all the time Apple 4k 2023

My mute symbol stays on all the time even when not muted. Tried resetting, updating, nothing helps. Help

On the screen? It's probably your TV's speakers being muted, and I bet you've got another sound component in the mix. Seek out your TV remote and "unmute". IOW, nothing to do with the Apple TV 4K.
