Gmail add to iPad

I am unable to add gmail to my mail app on my iPad. I get an error that says Safari cannot open page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server. However the header on this page says accounts.YouTube.com, not accounts.Google.com like the previous page where I entered the 2 step verification. So what goes? How can I reconnect this I just changed my password and couldn't add it in settings and so I deleted the account and I want to add it back on.

You can’t add any Google app to the Mail app from Apple. Google is android so of course they wouldn’t allow such. But just add the app as a free standing app, like anything else.

What’s so important about doing this btw?

I would need more clarification on the last part of your question to Apple. I have MS and sometimes I have a hard time processing things. Sorry for that, but I’m still happy to try and help😊☘️☘️☘️

I have always had gmail on my Apple Mail app, there is an option in Settings to add Google mail to it, but it isn’t working. It’s important because I have more than one email account on Mail and l like to flip between them. I don’t want to use the Google app or have a tab of Safari up for it.
