In Pages, hiow remove table format

In Apple Pages (12.2.1) how do I remove table formatting, leaving the text behind? (Copy and "Paste and Match Style" into plain text doesn't work properly - keeps table format and does not match destination style.)

Insert a text box, select the table content that you want as text, and then copy/paste into the Text box. This will be tab separated values with text attributes (bold, color, etc.) preserved. If you want that Text box content in your body text, you will need to select its content, copy, and paste outside of the Text box.
