Hive Thermostat / Apple Home

I've read all the help pages i can find on getting the Hive Thermostat connected to Apple Home. Still can't get the thing to connect.

i've updated the IOS software, i've updated the Hive App. i've tried looking withing 'Install' Devices' within the Hive app, just there's nothing in there for Apple Home.

i've tried scanning and entering the code on the Hive Hub with the 'add accessory' within the Apple Home app.

just keeps coming back with the setup code is incorrect.

Apple Home does see the Hive Bridge, but for the life of me... it won't connect.!

any ideas truly grateful.
