Hello.I bought an iPhone x form my friend and he forgot her Apple ID password.I tried to recover her password on February 6, i reachived an email from Apple in the email it was written that on March 6th I will receive a link to my phone number through which I can change his password, but I did not receive the SMS.
The Email from Apple sounds iffy to me. Without the Apple ID and Password of the original owner, you will never be able to use the device. Activation Lock is a theft prevention feature. Return for your money back or recycle the device at any Apple Store.
