the parent supported device broke, how can my child ask permission for an app purchase

I have my family account set up through an Ipad, and when my child try to install an app from the App store, he must Ask Permission to a parent or guardian. However, the permission request is sent to a broken IPAD. Is there a way to change his permission settings, or else change where the request is sent. I cannot approve the request and therefore he cannot install apps (in this case he is trying to get a free app "iMovie")

Hi TMONEYZ,

An Apple device is required to allow permissions with Ask to Buy as explained below:

"You need iOS 8 or later on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and OS X Yosemite or later on your Mac to set up or join a Family Sharing group. When you try to make a purchase on an unsupported device, you'll still be asked to request permission. However, you won't get a notification when the family organizer approves or declines the request. If the family organizer makes the purchase and your content doesn't download automatically, you can tap the price again to download the item.
