Logic Pro crashes on Roli Equator2 Audio Unit

Can anyone reproduce this problem I encounter?

I am using an M1 Macbook Pro 16" 2021

The problem rises even without any external devices connected

Problem observed on Mac os 12.6.3 / Logic Pro 10.7.7

as well as Mac on os 12.6.2 / Logic Pro 10.7.5

The Equator2 AU shows as validated in the plugin manager.

I create a fresh Logic Pro project

containing only 1 software instrument track loaded with one instance of Roli Equator2 stereo

Logic Pro crashes within seconds after I start selecting and playing presets in Equator2 preset browser

I uninstalled and reinstalled Equator2 and its sound libraries to no avail.

Can anyone reproduce this behavior?

Regards,

P.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for confirming Roli's Equator2 AU is crashing Logic Pro X

If you didn't already you could also apply for a support ticket with Roli

just as I did about a month ago.

Last week the follow up, I provided my crash-log file

which their software team is "looking into" momentarily.

Lets hope they can sort this out swiftly.

Meanwhile,

I found a temporary solution in Komplete Kontrol

Which acts as a "Vst-wrapper" inside Logic

You can download this for free from native instruments

as part of the "komplete start" bundle.

Regards,

Patrick.
