We are planning to get an IMac in Sweden. However, since we would move to US in the near future, we are bit worried whether there would be any issues related to voltage when shifting from one country to another.

The Apple-supplied charging equipment for all Mac models originally sold since 2006 will accept 100 to 240 volts without needing a converter.

You will need a different power cord though (or a plug adaptor) as the plugs / outlets in the two countries are different.
