If you use the Files app, there is a recently deleted folder in there that you can look in for recently deleted files. The recently deleted files will be kept for 30 days and then they will be permanently deleted. The built in Notes app also has a recently deleted folder. The notes in the recently deleted folder will also be stored for 30 days before being permanently deleted.
