Not getting message notifications

I’m wondering if there’s a way to get message notifications on my Apple Watch when my toddler is watching YouTube on my phone?

SE Apple Watch Notifications and Apps I’m trying to open apps from the Notification Center just like we do on the IPhones. But on the SE watch it won’t allow me to do that. Am I missing something? Is there some way to access apps more quickly through the Notification Center? I’ll try to open my messages but it’ll only allow me to mute a contact when I swipe left.

Why are my text notifications only going to my Apple Watch? I have today got my first Iwatch a series 10 and have been setting it up but when the phone (a 15) is locked text/whats app notifications are only coming through to my watch and not the phone, how can I change this? I can’t find it in the user manual. Can I have the phone on sound and the watch vibrate? The watch isn’t giving the different tones/sounds allocated as on my phone to indicate where the notification is from. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Unfortunately, you can't get notifications on your Apple watch if your iPhone is unlocked.
