Why is the IOS 16 not installing on my phone?

I've been trying to update my software to iOS 16 automatically but it's just won't download and install. Please what can I do?

Another, less common reason for not being able to update is if you were using a beta version of software. Refer to How to uninstall iOS or iPadOS beta software - Apple Support
