Parental controls keep turning off on their own

The parental controls (i.e. Content & Privacy Restrictions, and Downtime) keep turning off. I have it set up on both of my son's iphones and it'll work for a day or two, and then turn off and reset all of the settings.

I've had this set up on my kid's phones for several years, but only recently has this problem occurred. I've reset all devices and insured the latest software is installed. I only use my phone to set up everything and it's still happening. I have different passwords for each phone, and no, they do not know the password.

Hello hopkins53e,

Be sure to check for any available iOS updates for each involved device, as that'll ensure they're using the latest fixes and improvements: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

You may also try changing the Screen Time passcode at Settings > Screen Time > Select the user account > Change Screen Time Passcode.

Toggling Screen Time fully off manually for all devices, and re-enabling it may also help:

  1. Head to Settings > Screen Time.
  2. Tap on 'Turn Off Screen Time'.
  3. Repeat for each device.
  4. Restart all devices.
  5. Using the Family Organizer/Parent device, re-enable the Screen Time feature for each person

If nothing above has helped changing the device name for each parent/child's devices can also be of help in some situations. On iOS this can be done at Settings > General > About > Name.

Cheers.
