Podcast history

Seems like the ‘recently played’ section should be at the top of ‘listen now’ rather than at the bottom. Is this customizable?

No longer have the ability to play next on current podcast On the current version, 17.0.2, the ability to play next on your current episode seems to have disappeared? So if I’m listening to a podcast, but want to play the next one on my list and come back to my current podcast episode later, the ‘play next’ is no longer in the list of options. Annoying, I don’t see any reason why you’d need to delete it?

Bug? Podcast app marking new downloads as Played I’ve noticed since installing iOS 18 that some frequent podcasts weren’t appearing in my “Up Next” or “Latest Episodes” lists. Switching off the default option to “Hide Played Episodes” revealed that they were in my list but had been marked as ”Played” even though I hadn’t listened to them. It can’t be the app automatically playing another podcast after the last one finished (and me not noticing) as earlier today one downloaded while I was listening to another podcast and the newly-downloaded one was marked as “Played”! Shame the app doesn’t feature a ”Play History” feature which may help explain what’s going on…

How to choose the order that episodes play

Open the Podcasts app.
On your iPhone, go to the Library tab, then tap Shows. ...
Tap the show to see its information page.
Tap the More button in the top-right corner, then tap Settings.
Tap Oldest To Newest or Newest To Oldest.
