Stop invitations from email automatically adding to calendar

I don’t want any Zoom or other invitations to events that arrive via email to show up automatically in my calender.

As suggested in other threads, I’ve tried turning off all Siri suggestions in both Mail and Calendars. In iOS 14 there is no longer an option for Mail, Contacts, Calendar “Events found in mail” option to toggle off.

When an event shows up in my Calendar automatically there is no way for me to get rid of it without notifying the sender. I just want to stop them from being added at all. UNACCEPTABLE!

I have the same issue. I'll get an email on my work gmail, then an appointment gets added to my default calender and my work calendar, so when I decline it on my personal (default) calendar, it sends an decline with calendar appointment from my personal email, the meeting organizer gets a decline notification from my personal email and causes confusion. I just want to NOT automatically add calendar appointments from any email to any calendar!

iPhone Calendar? Apple Calendar? There is no such thing.

Are you referring to iCloud Calendar?

Please check which is your Default email Account for the Calendar on your device? Settings > Calendar > Default Calendar

All the devices sync with an email client server which hosts your calendar. If you have a Calendar on iCloud that will not sync with Google Calendar. Settings > Calendar > Default Calendar [Choose what you want]. What you add (Event) on iPhone Calendar is synced with default calendar unless you have chosen a specific calendar at the time of event creation.

To which email account are the calendar events synced with your iPhone? This is not clear in your post

The Calendar App on my iPhone. Your response has nothing to do with my original question. It would be best if you deleted so that someone else can reply with a response that’s relevant to what I’m asking. Emails sent by other people to any of my email addresses that include event invites are turning up in my calendar app on iPhone with the option to Attend/Maybe/Decline. And when I choose one of these options, an email response is automatically sent to the sender of the event. I want to stop these event invitations from going directly to my calendar from emails sent to me.
