My wife bought me an apple watch ultra in the USA on a trip
So I am doomed to these restrictions? The South African Apple branch is uninterested in helping me and sends me back to the USA.
Any solutions out there?
The warranty only runs out on Jan 2024
people report the canada, usa, mexico use a different esim system than the rest of the world
it will still work as a gps watch
usa have a 14 days return no question asked full refund but sounds like you are passed that
if you wish to reach out to their support
And or
There are 2 cellular radios.
1) Canada, U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico
2) The rest of the world.
It will ONLY work as a GPS only Apple Watch in South Africa. If you already have your iPhone with you, it will do everything an activated cellular will do.
I am not sure how my wife bought the watch as it was a gift to me, but she is in South Africa now so even if i have 14 days not sure how to get the unit back in the USA
