Apple Watch does not support Telstra mobile service ion this region

Hi I have a series 6 stainless steel cellular Apple Watch that was bought from the USA. I reside in Australia and whilst setting the cellular for my Apple Watch with the Telstra one number the Apple Watch said: "Apple Watch does not support Telstra mobile service ion this region". I have attached a screenshot below for better understanding.... customer service from Telstra told me Apple Watch bought from the USA can only be used with network providers in the USA which was honestly surprising to me as that was the first I heard of such a case.

There are 2 cellular radios

1) Canada, U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico

2) The rest of the world.

The only known exception to this is India, where some carriers will allow the U.S. model to connect. I have not heard of carriers in any other part of the world doing that.

That's right. You should have bought an Apple Watch which wasn't made for the US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico regions. Since you own an Apple Watch made for a region you don't live in, you won't be able to use cellular on your watch.

Fortunately, you can still use the watch as a GPS model, meaning you will need to have your connected iPhone near you for the watch to function. There are no workarounds available to you for this.
