Mail on my up to date iMac (Monteray) and up to date iPad Pro is incredibly slow.

Often the email message itself will not download, showing no contents.

I read a couple similar older questions here where the answer was never provided or highly impractical. I mean, rebooting the system, starting in safe mode, is a last resort solution.

Has anyone found a useful answer to this?

Thanks.

No, that's a screen shot of the inbox in the apple's 'Mail' program.

The contents of many of the received emails remains empty, no matter what I try.

The solution working most of the time is shutting down the program.

And if that does not work restarting the system.

Or walking away and getting back some hours later when it is feeling somewhat more cooperative.

I also have this problem on my iPad.

But not on my 2013 Macbook, that no longer updates, but otherwise works fine.
