How does someone remove things from the cloud to clear more space without buying anymore

You go log into iCloud and delete the items there.
You can log in to https://icloud.com or you can use Apps on your devices that connect to iCloud such as the Files App, Photos, Contacts, Notes, Reminders and Calendar.
