Preview no longer opens links in Safari without a warning.

This is new and a pain in the neck.

I've downloaded my own PDF to test. It opens in Preview, as is my default.

But now, like never before, when I click on any link in the PDF, up pops the image I've attached.

Sure, it'll open it, but with an unnecessary extra confirmatory step.

How to get rid of this bothersome bit of software?

I've just submitted this feedbacl and urge anyone else seeing this as an impediment to do the same.

In short: give users a way to turn this behavior off.

I don't mind the default being there, just let me opt out.

With each newer version of macOS Security and Privacy has become more and more a focus by Apple.

Much like is macOS 11 Big Sur and above.

Apple has now made The Operating System reside in a Sealed and Read Only Volume that can not be opened by the User nor by Third Party Applications.

The only Entity that can open and modify or alter this Volume is Apple.

That would occur when a update or UpGrade is performed.

So, this " Alert " to open a URL in a self made PDF would look normal

Until if or even Apple will or will not allow and Opt Out Feature for the annoying extra step, we have to live with this or downgrade to an older Version of macOS where this is not presented
