How to set up vibrate on silent mode in plain English ?

If you are trying to put your device on silent mode, here is how:

1. Hold your device with the screen facing you like normal use.
2. Along the left side of your iPhone, above the volume buttons, find the switch.
3. Toggle the switch so that it shows the orange.

Choose when your device vibrates

On iPhone 7 and later, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics.

You can choose if you want your iPhone to vibrate when set to Ring or Silent mode.

If you turn off both settings, your iPhone won't vibrate.
