iMessage changes SMS received time at 03:00 am every day

Since I switched to an iPhone from an android the iMessage app resets all the messages every day at 03:00. Some conversations are more than a year old, but it consistently changes them to show that they arrived at 03:00 and then sorts them by name. Then it moves the recent conversations below the old ones. Is there a fix for this?
