Hey guys i'm attempting to make a speed ramp with two clips which are connected and the range selector gets to the end of the first clip and wont drag past that into the second one like it has in the past . I've tried many things such as switching off snapping, using I or O to no avail.
Can anyone help?
You're talking about two clips that are connected to the primary. The clips aren't connected to each other. No, you can't drag the Range Selection tool across two adjacent connected clips. Not unless you combined them as Luis said into a compound, or if you connect them into a secondary storyline.

I don’t think you can do that.
If you want to a speed ramp that involves two clips you should make the two into a compound clip and apply the speed ramp to the compound.
i've watched multiple tutorials online that show you can do this and have managed to do it in the past several times but it doesnt seem to be working for me now , i will try your method however , can you clarify how join two clips together to create a compound clip?
