Corrupt iPhone Backup

A little over a year ago, around January of 2022, I locally backed up my iPhone 6+ via iTunes since I was going to factory reset it. Anyways, I kept the backup on my computer, until I purchased my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and now whenever I try restoring from the backup. It works and on my iPhone it says "Restore In Progress", but then it stops and on iTunes it says that my backup is corrupt. Is there any way to fix this issue? Could it be that I'm trying to restore from a backup of an iPhone 6 onto an iPhone 13?

Hi Kerem13,

We'd like to share some information regarding a corrupt backup. The device is not what would be the issue, and what is covered in If you can't back up your iOS or iPadOS device to a computer or restore it from a backup - Apple Support mentions "If you still can't restore the backup, you might not be able to use that backup. Try to use an alternate backup or an iCloud backup, or Contact Apple Support for more help". If you have the iPhone 6 still, you can create a new backup and see if that issue remains.
