Photos Library.photoslibrary in Trash
Why does Photos Library.photoslibrary constantly show up in my trash? I NEVER use the photos app. This is an iMac Pro running Ventura 13.2.1.

Apple Support was a waste of time as they did not have a clue about the problem, much less actually resolve it. Nor did they seem interested in solving it. Kinda like Apple Maps which doesn't have a clue about how to pronounce common abbreviated street names like "Dr" as "Drive" but instead pronounces it as "der" like in "derby". Apple software has declined precipitously over the last several years. Keep it up and I'll be switching to Windows after being an Apple user since the Apple II.

Do you have an external volume connected, where you may have trashed a copy of a Photos Library? Then you will be seeing a Photos Library in the Trash, whenever this volume is connected. You may try to put the library back from the Trash, so you can see, where it came from.
You may not be able to empty the Trash while the library is in use by Photos. Restart the Mac, then try to empty the Trash, before launching Photos.
I'm running out of ideas.
If you can ever find the culprit, let us know, please.
Photos is a part of the system and always available. Some third-party apps may be using it and launching it in the background by scripting it. They cannot use Photos however, without Photos creating a Photos Library and then trashing the library, when done.
If that should be the case, you may want to watch the Trash, so you can identify the culpit, that is using Photos in the background.
Have you taken the Photos Library out of the Trash and opened it in Photos? Looking at the photos inside might give you an idea, which app has been using Photos.

Thanks for your suggestions. I can find nothing in the library. I have suspected Dropbox of being the culprit since it asks if you want to upload photos but I have always said no. Also, in case you're wondering, I have my iCloud settings to not upload photos either.
No I do not have an external volume with a Photos Library (not counting Time Machine). I have never used Photos. Ever. I use Capture One.
