CarPlay isn’t disconnecting After exiting car

My iPhone 12 Pro is connected to CarPlay while I am driving, however when I get home and turn my car off and exit my phone won’t go back to my home Wi-Fi. If I click on my wifi button to connect it ask me if I want to disconnect from CarPlay. I choose disconnect, but it instantly disregards that and wont let me connect to wifi.

Is there not a way to use Wi-Fi at home and CarPlay while in the car?

Please note there is no issue with connecting to wifi. Issue only observed when I exit the car and reach home. That time it doesn’t connect to home wifi automatically.
