Battery health dropped dramatically overtime after iOS16

I bought my iPhone 13 Pro in June 2022 and my battery health was at 99% at the time of the iOS16 update. After the update, the battery health seems to decrease very quickly, as it is now at 92% (a month ago it was at 95%). Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I use my phone around 4-5 hours a day, but I wouldn't expect such a big drop in battery health. Also, my charging cycles are quite normal (258), as I usually don't let the battery drop lower than 20%, and I don't charge it a lot after 80%. Can it be that iOS16 is not optimized for the 13's battery health?

Hello,

With any new version of iOS there are always maintenance and re-indexing tasks to be performed. It should settle down after awhile. These are the standard steps for short battery life:

1) Have you tried a restart?  If not, do it now.

2) Go to Settings > Battery > BATTERY USAGE BY APP to see the apps that are consuming your battery.

3) Check “Battery Health” in the link:

iPhone Battery and Performance

See this link by Lawrence Finch for some battery charging tips:

Good luck.
