settings app freezes when I click on the wifi option occasionally

This started happening to my old iPhone xs max, and I thought it was an issue with the hardware. I recently got a new phone, and it still happens when I try to connect to wifi. This happens even when I'm right next to the router. Whenever I try to reconnect or change wifi signals, it freezes right after I click on the wifi option in the settings app. I have to reset my network settings every time, but it starts breaking again after a while.

Is there any way to fix it? It's getting really annoying
