What happened to the select all option of edit in the mail app on the iPad? IPAD IOS 16.2

Thanks for your reply, but believe me it wasn’t there. However, with the knowledge that 16.3 was available, after the update “select all” is available. Also, with auto update ON the update did not occur. So all is good.
