iphone 5 unable to join network

Iphone 5s seem to be unable to join networks (wifi)


iPhone 5, iOS 10

Our home wifi network - (eero) - tried 2.5ghz option as well and no success. The error is - “unable to join network”.

Just to rule out fat fingers, try changing the ssid and the password to something you can't mistype. Then makse sure you can connect to this network from another machine - connect and then make sure that you can actually have a live webpage load in a browser. Now that you've made sure the conenction works, then try this simplified ssid/password combo on your iphone. It should work. If it does, you are free to go back and update the ssid/password. It it doesn't then the wifi radio on your phone is hosed.
