Travelling with a SIM card

Upon the start of a vacation I picked up a local in-country SIM card. I continue to receive a message through my settings that my Canadian phone number, which I am not using with the new SIM chip while travelling, the message is: this number is registered to your AppleID, but is not associated with this phone. It also says that iMessage and FaceTime will expire in 4 days.

I am still travelling and don’t get back to Canada for 3 weeks. Is there anything that I need to do to ensure that my iMessage and FaceTime accounts don’t get screwed up?

Thanks

There aren't any accounts for iMessage and FaceTime.

You may enable and disable them anytime.

If your iPhone is used with a carrier not found in the wireless carrier articles, make sure you can send and receive international SMS. (One SMS*** Only). You may be charged for this one internation SMS by your Carrier for activating iMessage.
