iPad create a link to a FaceTime call and send it to an android user.

How to use iPad that does not have phone service to Face Time an android device.

I tried to create link, select text message icon, select person to message the link to, BUT it never shows an active arrow to SEND the link and message to

The blue arrow stays deselected.

only when I select a person with an Apple device does it allow me to send the link-showing me an active arrow.

but I am supposed to be able to use FaceTime with an Android user.

Help with this would be much appreciated.

Ah, here’s the problem.

Your iPad cannot send SMS text messages, as it is not a cellular telephone!

From an iPad, assuming you do not have an iPhone, you must send the FaceTime link using email.

It’s great you provided as much detail in your post as you did, so we could assess and identify the issue.
